The mix of elements in this shot are really interesting. Rustic, industrial and modern all wrapped up in one. The glass pendant lights fill the vertical space without being obtrusive. They add interest but allow your eye to flow through to the bookcases. Smart! Can you imagine having to clean those floors? So shiny and so cool!
Next time your decorating a room, don't forget to think of it from every angle, including the ceiling!
This post seems a little random, right? More than likely, it's because I'm stuck in fix-it mode and some sort of globe, hanging from the ceiling seems to be what I need to "fix it." My wonderful built-in that my husband and I have been working on is about to drive me NUTS! When you read "wonderful" you need to insert dripping sarcasm! This project is one that I'm ready to have behind me. I can't seem to make all the pieces fall together to create something cohesive. I think I need a sign to paste on my forehead when I'm in this mode that says, "Warning, project in process and it's not going well. Unless you're a creative genius, please withhold interaction until further notice!"

I have a beautiful ceiling fan (dripping sarcasm, too!) occupying some of my vertical space in the bedroom. Oh, how I'd love something more interesting - I'd even go for empty vertical space!
My vertical space needs some work, it is probably as frustrating as your "work in progress"....Hang in there you will get it figured out!!
