The count down is on for my friend, Katie, as baby #4 bakes in her tummy just a tiny bit longer. She'll be welcoming a boy this time, following 3 girls. Can you imagine their excitement?
Last week we had a brainstorming session and designed her nursery. Click here to see her "Vintage Mod Golf" moodboard.
We've been on warp speed trying to bring our ideas to life. Here's a little picture journey to show you our progress.
Oh yes...we did.
Sidenote to all designers who work at new home design centers: Don't paint an entire room, ceiling and all, the same color! That's just being lazy and causing the future homeowner a pain in the neck (literally)!
Yes, it's January and I'm wearing shorts. Gotta love Texas winters!
There it is again, my favorite trick...tape, tape and more tape. Katie's impressed, can you tell? I have to give her some mad props for painting almost the entire ceiling by herself. You go girl!
Now what? How about some stripes?
And more stripes.
Ta-dah! It's coming along.
Something funky was on my lens, there aren't really circles in the navy section.
Now, Mr. Postman, will you please bring us our pretty art?
Check out one of the pictures we're waiting on:
Say it with me..."Awww!" Isn't it precious?
More to come as we hang curtains, art and shelves. Can't wait to see it all done and, more importantly, meet the little booger who gets to live in this room!

Aww...is right! Dying to see those stripes and love the classic golf argyle!
ReplyDeleteI love updates on nurseries and that stripe wall application is really great and a nice bold statement. I also really like the vintage vibe to the artwork that the two of you have chosen. A boy and 3 girls - what a blessing!
ReplyDeleteYay, looking good and like you are working hard! Love that print!
