My handy husband made the gun rack when he was in high school. Who knew it would one day reside in his son's room! Weird, huh? My talented dad made the hunter silhouette. He used foam board, so it's lightweight and only needed a little tack to keep it in place. Check out the crocodile...he made that too!
Here's a better shot:
Isn't it cool how the tail hangs over the baseboard? Mr. Crocodile was made out of a thin piece of wood.
Today's Roomspiration Party continues at All Things Bright and Beautiful. You guessed it...jump over there for great ideas for kid's rooms.

I'd love to know your thoughts...leave me a few.
I think his room is awesome! You have to decorate with what they like...They're only going to be there so long ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love it! Great job!
ReplyDeleteIt's fantastic! I'm sure he loves it.
ReplyDeleteHow fun!! Thanks for linking up to Roomspiration today :)
ReplyDeleteOMG My son would DIE to have this room. We are working on a hunting room as well!!! That wall is amazing. I totally agree...it is not everyone's "cup of tea" but that room would excite 50% of the members of my household :) What is the material used for the "duck blind" on the wall?? Seriously, LOVE this room!!!
ReplyDeleteConsidering I only have girls this room is completely different from theirs... that is why I find it so interesting and original.
ReplyDeleteCongrats.

ReplyDeleteMNgirl, The reed's are just that, reeds. It's a screen of them found in the garden department of our local grocery store. I've seen them recently at Lowe's or Home Depot too. Thanks for your kind words!
ReplyDeleteWhat color/brand of paint for the orange?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the awesome idea! I just got done painting this on my 13 year old sons wall! He loves it and it looks great! So glad that I found your post!
