Art by Lisa Golightly

I can't thank you enough if you're one of the sweet friends that left a kind message on Friday's post. We feel our hurts heal a little each day. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts, stories and words of empathy. It really means a lot to me.

On a lighter note, I love finding new artists. Have you seen the beautiful work of artist, Lisa Golightly? I ran across the piece below on One Kings Lane and it mysteriously kept showing up in my facebook feed. (Side note, I think it's super creepy how you look at something once then suddenly it shows up everywhere.)
I guess the advertising gimmick totally worked because I purchased a print of the precious, faceless boy. I'm not exactly sure what it is, but there's something that draws me in when I look at it. "That" is what I mean when I tell clients that art is personal and you have to pick the pieces that "speak" to you.

I think it's the simplicity that I love. And, her shading is amazing.

This piece is coming to live in our house too!

Lisa's Etsy shop is Kiki and Polly. Do yourself a favor and take a second to check out her other works of art!

Pillows made easy

As a follow up to yesterday's post, I thought I'd help you out with some pillow sources. Those of you who are lucky enough to actually have pillows on their couch, that is!

Finding pillows can be a difficult task. It's fun to have that mixed/matched look but hard to achieve. So here's what I've got for you friends. A sight that does the hard work for you! Check this out.

This savvy etsy shop owner has taken the guess work out of coordinating pillows and sells her goods in sets of 9. They cost $180. For those of you reading this early in the morning and don't feel like busting out your math brain, that's only $20 per pillow. That's less expensive than buying pillows at places like Marshall's, Homegoods and TJMaxx. The above photos are just a few of the colorways offered, there are tons more! Ready to shop? Click here.

Tea towels

Have you ever found yourself drawn to something and you're not sure why? I was searching etsy and came across these tea towels. The artist is Leah Duncan and you can find her shop here.

They're completely not my style, but I love them! Do you have fun tea towels hanging in your kitchen? I don't, because I'm too cheap to buy them. Maybe that's why I like them so much. It's something I wish I would allow myself to splurge on, but just don't. I find myself admiring them at other people's houses quite often.

Check out some of Leah's other goodies, like great scarfs and pillows.

What's something you wish you could allow yourself to splurge on? I'd love to hear from you, give me a shout!
