First up, make a halloween treat.
We made Halloween Pretzel Bites. This is super simple and gives a great balance of sweet and salty, not to mention, the colors are perfect for this time of year!
After placing Hershey's Hugs on the pretzels, pop them in the oven at 275 degrees for 2-3 minutes. I left mine in a little too long and they melted more than they should have. Ideally, you want to pull them out of the oven right when they're beginning to soften.
Gently push a Reese's Pieces on top and let cool. Cute, huh? We adapt this treat for many other holidays. Plain Hershey Kisses and colored M & M's help to color coordinate for any celebration, even baby showers!
Next up, google neighborhood Boo signs/poems and print off a few to place in with your treat.
After being "Boo"ed, the person hangs this sign on their door or in a window so others can pass over their house and spread the fun throughout more of the neighborhood.
Now, roll up your poem and sign and assemble your Boo treat.
This next step is the kid's favorite! We dress up in dark colors then go ding dong ditch our neighbors while leaving behind their Boo treat. Remember, it's all secret so it's very important to be as stealthy as possible. I don't think I've ever seem our kids run so fast! Lots of fun and lots of giggles!
What about you? Have you "Boo"ed anyone before? I'd love to hear about other fun traditions!
P.S. If you're a neighbor who received a boo last night, shhhh! Keep it secret from your kids!

We LOVE booing! And you're right the favorite part is escaping without being caught!
