I've been working on a kitchen project and we're standing on the edge of the "fun" stuff starting to happen. The cabinets have been signed off on, the lighting has been ordered and so has the flooring. They've made great selections and we're all chomping at the bit to see our plans come to life.
Since I've had kitchens on the brain, I've run across some great pictures recently. Thought I'd share a handful with you guys today.
Let's take a minute to appreciate this lighting goodness...
Hello, show-stopper copper!
Now, this is what I call lighting! Wouldn't it be great to have this much natural light in your kitchen?
Here's a clever little idea... hidden island workspace. You'll gain counter space without using up your kitchen's footprint. Brilliant!
Let's talk about open-shelving...
Would you be brave enough to give up cabinet space for open-shelving? I think this option adds a ton of character to a kitchen. The key to open-shelving is definitely uniformity. Using monotone objects is the easiest way to achieve a well-decorated look.
Once again, open-shelving...but wait, check out the island! Loving the strip of butcher block down the center.
Lots of different looks shared here today. Which one is your favorite?

I think I take the bright one with that amazing added storage on this rainy day!
I like different elements in each one - but I'd be happy to have any of them! Those copper lights - gorgeous!
I love the colored islands too.
LUCKY!!! Can't wait to see your new kitchen. I'm super excited for you. Loved every one of your inspiration pics too.
