You're probably thinking, "Oh, cool picture, I get it...pens...checking off...yeah, yeah." Well, friends, these pens were part of a project on my to-do list that my husband so amazingly stepped in and took off my list!
My son's second grade teachers put on a Longhorn market every year where kids "make" a good then they get to 'buy' and 'sell' their goods to each other at the market. Honestly, I was kind of dreading this project because I knew we had to make 24 of whatever Reed's 'good' was going to be.
I had literally just started thinking about what project we'd tackle when I walked outside and much to my surprise John and Reed had come up with an idea and nearly had it completed to boot! I didn't even know John knew about the project.
Can you imagine my excitement when this 'chore' was checked off my list?! It really made me appreciate him and the funny thing is, he probably didn't even know he was performing a RAK...he was just being an awesome dad!
Here are a few more pictures of their handy work...
Reed collected sticks, they sawed them down and drilled skinny holes. Next, they took apart pens and stuck the ink down the center of the wood. And, of course, the best part...whittling the tip.
So, do you have someone in mind that could benefit from a little kindness today? What is a chore to them, might not be a chore to you...it's a win/win situation!
Looking for more RAK ideas? Jump on over to the 'search' box in the sidebar, type random act of kindness and boom, you'll have 31 other ideas right at your fingertips!
Now...go out and be kind, friends.

Those are SO cool, at our school they'd be sold out before the sale! Looks like everyone in your family got the creativity gene! Almost forgot about the RAK! :)
