Transparent Tuesday

Transparent topic: Being content

Do you ever get in a funk? I can feel myself slipping into funkiness even as we speak (well, you know what I mean...as you read and I write).

I'm pretty sure my funk stems from my inability to be content. Don't get me wrong, I have an overabundance of blessings in my life and I'm very grateful for each and every one, but then there's this nagging feeling that creeps up on me ever so often and really gets in my head.

I'm a very driven person and I'm always looking for "what's next." Monotony is my worst enemy. Right now, I don't know what's next and it's kinda driving me crazy.

I love the connections I've made with several of you through your willingness to be open and transparent. You're the reason I haven't hung up my blog hat and moved on.

I think God uses these times in my life to make me focus on Him. He removes the busyness and makes me seek His plans. So that's what I'm doing as I slip into my funk...I'm praying that God will reveal "what's next."

Like I said before, friends, it's your openness that fuels my fire. Do you need a prayer lifted up for you today? God and I are hashing things out over here so I might as well add a few more requests, on your behalf, while I'm at it!

I have to say that being content with what I have every day is a constant challenge for me too. It's all about remembering to be grateful for the small things, which is hard to do when you feel like there are big things you want to happen that are not happening, at least not yet. Thanks for the reminder today- I needed that :)

WOW... CONTENT is my word for 2012. And not an easy task. Its a daily battle for me... LIFE IS GOOD and God is good, and my life is full of blessings. I totally understand.
I can go from funk to all out pity party. What I do when I am in that place is not good. I tend to go into shut down mode. I don't talk about it. I just mope and say nothing when I am asked what is wrong. Even to my husband. When you don't know what's wrong, how do you answer that question??
check out this post http://mercysavedme.blogspot.com/2012/04/content-blessings-in-disguise.html and my other content postings.... cause girl.. I am right there with ya!! Praying that God will lift you up!!

Being a mother & wife are 2 of the most important things you will do in your life. I know you love your family but maybe if you pray about it you will see that you are SO important, such an integral part in God's plan. It's not always easy to see but i guess that is why they call it Faith!
